Connecting G-Drive Mini with Mac G5 Systems

On Windows I can't initialize my G-Tech hard drive. Disk Management says it is a "GPT Protective Partition."
On a Windows system drives show up as a "GPT protective partition" and are unable to be formatted. REASON: G-Tech drives are formatted at the factory for Mac OS.  Changes to the Mac OS in 10.5 and above have caused an incompatibility with Windows OS, requiring the drive to be "cleaned" before being formatted.  The process to "clean" the drive outlined in this article. 
I want to use my G-Tech drive on BOTH MAC and Windows
All G-Technology drives are formatted for MAC Operating System. To use these drives on both Windows and MAC platforms, you have two options.
