A nice feature of many G-Tech drives is the ability to be connected and disconnected
while your computer is running.

Out of the box, all G-Tech Disks are formatted for MAC Operating Systems. If you will only be using your drive on a Windows system then we recommend formatting the drive NTFS....
On Windows I can't initialize my G-Tech hard drive. Disk Management says it is a "GPT Protective Partition."
