The G-SPEED Q does not require an eSATA RAID controller to work with your system. This is due to the fact that the G-SPEED Q comes with the RAID controller built into the enclosure itself. For the best performance, an eSATA connection may be desired. If your system does not include an eSATA interface, please check with your computer manufaturer for details on recommended eSATA interface cards that are compatible with your system.
