Error Code -50

I've reformatted the drive 3 times now, and continue to get the same message after a day or so. I can't get any response from G-Tech tech support, and now and running out of time to return the drive. Anyone have any idea what this message is, and should I just tank this drive?

Thanks for your post. Error Code -50 is a general I/O error. Which G-DRIVE version do you have, GEN 4 or the new USB 3? What computer and OS version? Have you tried another cable or port? Have you tried it on another computer? Please let me know if you have any questions.
