formatting hard drive
My g drive cannot be formatted. It tells me one segment of the drive is unreadable. It is not recognized by any of my Macs. Tried changing cables and ports but no success. HELP
Re: formatting hard drive
Hi lesm1,
Thanks for your email. Which model of G-DRIVE do you have? Do you hear any unusual noise or activity? Does it appear in Disk Utility? Please let me know if you have any questions.

It is a 2 TB drive. It does not appear in the disk utility and makes no sounds.
Re: formatting hard drive
It sounds like it is a bad drive or controller board in the unit. I would recommend you return the drive for replacement. Here is the link to the RMA request form: http://www.g-technology.com/support/warranty_rma.cfm
