8TB Thunderbolt not recognized on iMac
Here is the timeline of events - bought the 8th thunderbolt drive, used it for 1 day on location with macbook pro (filming). Took the drive to studio and used it on iMac in editing studio. No issues. Took Drive back to house for final edits on macbook pro. No problems. Took macbook pro and drive to studio. The 8tb drive only shows up on Macbook Pro now, it does not come up on the imac. Other drives work fine on the thunderbolt ports on the iMac. Tried other Thunderbolt cables, with no success. THe drive refuses to be seen on the iMac. Any ideas?
Thanks
Derek

Tried a couple of more things like checking preferences and running disk utility - nothing. Still cant get it to be recognized anywhere, its a ghost drive. But works fine ont the macbook pro. Very frustrating...

Hi Derek,
Thanks for your post. Unusual situation you have there. Are you daisy-chaining at all? Does the drive appear in Disk Utility, but greyed out on the iMac? Please let me know if you have any questions.
