Video Freezing during playback

Hi everyone,
I wonder if anybody is having the same problem I am. I have downloaded some videos to the unit but during playback the video keeps freezing, then it continues to play. It happens throughout the length of the video. F.Y.I. - I used Elgato turbo to convert the video to mp4 and the bit rate comes under the maximum at 2.3 mbs. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Are you using the G-CONNECT through WiFi or attached to your network? What range are you from the G-CONNECT if using it via WiFi. Are you using the G-CONNECT through an iPad or computer? Windows or Mac? If through an iPad are you using our App or the webapp or 3rd party?

I have the same problem using the G-CONNECT through wifi connected using an iPad and your App, SD video encoded with handbrake

IPad browser mode also freezes, 3 meters from the gconnect

Sorry to hear you are experiencing such poor performance. That definitely shouldn't be the issue especially with that range. Do you happen to have specific details about one of the videos you are getting this performance with? codec/bitrate etc?

Thank you for the reply, did you use any preset or profile settings with handbrake? How large is this file?

I used the standard iPad template in handbrake

Typical movie Star Wars I from DVD was 1:55h 1012x432 1.1GB

I am providing the info to my team to see if we can recreate the issue but so far we haven't run into an issue with iPad profile videos. It is possible your unit has a hardware malfunction and the performance hit is caused by that.

How do I tell if there is a hardware malfunction?

I have formatted is using OS X. Would that impact performance?
