There are some situations in which a USB port on your computer may be unable to provide enough power to the G-CONNECT. If your G-CONNECT is experiencing any of the following symptums:

- Drive does not appear on the Desktop (Mac) or Computer (Windows)
- G-CONNECT is making a clicking sound after being connected over USB

In this scenario, you should connect both USB connectors into the laptop/desktop, AND THEN connect the G-CONNECT to benefit from the additional power.

One other point, if you are connecting to a desktop machine, try connecting to the USB ports at the back of the machine, rather than any you see on the front of the machine.
